Dracma was the currency used in Greece during several periods in its history. The tetradrachm was an Ancient Greek silver coin equivalent to fourdrachmae in Athens. It replaced the earlier “heraldic” type of didrachms and it was in wide circulation from ca 510 to ca 38 BC.

Athena – Stater of Corinth

The original coin is actually exhibited in the Greek Numismatic Museum. Parthenon is the main monument in Acropolis. Built in honor of the goddess Athena, and is the brightest monument of the Athenian state.

History
Alexander the Great (356 BC – 323 BC), also known as Alexander III was a king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon. He is considered as one of the greatest and most successful military strategists of world history.
The specific coin was minted at about 287 BC, after Alexander’s death, by king Lysimachos, one of the generals of Alexander the Great, who inherited the throne of Thrace after his death.
