Alexander the Great (356 BC – 323 BC), also known as Alexander III was a king of the ancient Greek kingdom of Macedon. He is considered as one of the greatest and most successful military strategists of world history.
The specific coin was minted at about 287 BC, after Alexander’s death, by king Lysimachos, one of the generals of Alexander the Great, who inherited the throne of Thrace after his death.
The original coin is actually exhibited in the Greek Numismatic Museum.

At the end of the 1950s, four-course (tetrachordo) bouzoukia started to gain popularity. The four-course bouzouki was made popular by Manolis Chiotis. Manolis Chiotis was a Greek rebetiko and laiko composer, singer, and bouzouki player. He is considered one of the greatest bouzouki soloists of all time.
