History

The Phaistos Disc is a disk of fired clay from the Minoan palace of Phaistos on the island of Crete. Now, the island of Crete is part of modern Greece. The disc was discovered in 1908 by the Italian archaeologist Luigi Pernier in the Minoan palace site of Phaistos. While it is not clear that it is a script, most attempted decipherments assume that it is; most additionally assume a syllabary, others an alphabet or logography or a calendar.

Care For Your Jewels

When wearing

Avoid contact with soaps, lotions and perfumes. Take your jewellery off when washing your hands, showering, or applying skincare, fragrance and make-up.
Take your jewellery off before exercising.
Put your jewellery on last, once you are fully dressed.
Avoid swimming while wearing your jewellery.

When storing

Keep your pieces in an airtight space — the jewellery box that comes with every order is ideal. This protects them from humidity and airborne chemicals.

When cleaning

Use a soft cotton or fine-fibre cloth. Make sure it is completely dry and polish very gently. Avoid chemical cleaners.

Sterling silver darkens naturally over time. A gentle polish restores the shine.
