Κατασκευασμένο από επιχρυσωμένο ασήμι 925⁰.
Το σχέδιο του Μαιάνδρου είναι ένα διακοσμητικό περίγραμμα κατασκευασμένο από μια συνεχή γραμμή, διαμορφωμένο σε ένα επαναλαμβανόμενο μοτίβο. Το συναντάμε επίσης με την ονομασία “ελληνικό κλειδί”. Από τη μία πλευρά, το όνομα μαίανδρος θυμίζει τη στροφή του ποταμού Μαιάνδρου στη Μικρά Ασία, και από την άλλη, όπως τόνισε ο Karl Kerenyi, «ο μαίανδρος είναι η μορφή ενός λαβύρινθου σε γραμμική μορφή». Λόγω της έλλειψης αρχής και τέλους, γίνεται το σύμβολο της μακράς ζωής και της αιωνιότητας. Ένα από τα αρχαιότερα μοτίβα που έχει διακοσμήσει πολλούς ναούς και αγάλματα.

Η χρήση των ακροκεράμων μετά την αρχαϊκή εποχή, επανέρχεται με το κίνημα του Νεοκλασικισμού στην Ευρώπη τον 19ο αιώνα. Το κίνημα μεταφυτεύεται στην Ελλάδα από τους Βαβαρούς και το ακροκέραμο γίνεται το σήμα κατατεθέν της ελληνικής νεοκλασικής αρχιτεκτονικής.

Το σύμβολο και η δεισιδαιμονία του κακού ματιού είναι μία από τις ισχυρότερες συμβολικές εικόνες στον κόσμο. Τα πρώτα γνωστά στοιχεία για την πίστη στο μάτι ανάγονται στην αρχαία Ελλάδα και τη Ρώμη. Υποτίθεται ότι προστατεύει όποιον το φοράει και διάφοροι πολιτισμοί πιστεύουν σε αυτό. Ωστόσο στην Ελλάδα είναι μπλε γιατί εκείνη την εποχή τα μπλε μάτια δεν ήταν τόσο συνηθισμένα και θεωρούνταν ότι έδιναν το “κακό μάτι”.

Doublet is a modern and very fashionable design that was invented in order to make stones such as lapis lazuli, turquoise and other non-transparent stones glow and create unique colors from them. Ο Δίσκος της Φαιστού είναι ένας δίσκος από πηλό από το μινωικό παλάτι της Φαιστού στο νησί της Κρήτης. Τώρα, το νησί της Κρήτης είναι μέρος της σύγχρονης Ελλάδας. Ο δίσκος ανακαλύφθηκε το 1908 από τον Ιταλό αρχαιολόγο Luigi Pernier στο μινωικό παλάτι της Φαιστού. Ακόμα και στις μέρες μας η αποκρυπτογράφηση του δεν είναι ξεκάθαρη, καθιστώντας το ένα από τα πιο διάσημα μυστήρια της αρχαιολογίας. Ο δίσκος έχει διάμετρο περίπου 15 εκατοστά και καλύπτεται και στις δύο πλευρές με μια σπείρα από σφραγισμένα σύμβολα. Ο δίσκος διαθέτει 241 μάρκες, που περιλαμβάνουν 45 ξεχωριστά σημάδια, τα οποία φτιάχτηκαν προφανώς πιέζοντας ιερογλυφικές «σφραγίδες» σε ένα δίσκο από μαλακό πηλό, με μια δεξιόστροφη ακολουθία που στρέφεται προς το κέντρο του δίσκου. Αυτό το μοναδικό αντικείμενο εκτίθεται τώρα στο αρχαιολογικό μουσείο Ηρακλείου.

Η Μέδουσα, στην ελληνική μυθολογία, η πιο διάσημη από τις μορφές τεράτων που είναι γνωστές ως Γοργόνες, περιγράφεται γενικά ως μια φτερωτή γυναίκα με ζωντανά δηλητηριώδη φίδια στη θέση των μαλλιών- σε αντίθεση με τις Γοργόνες, μερικές φορές απεικονιζόταν ως πολύ όμορφη. Σύμφωνα με τον Ησίοδο και τον Αισχύλο, έζησε και πέθανε σε ένα νησί με το όνομα Σαρπηδόνα, κάπου κοντά στην Κισθένη. Η Μέδουσα αποκεφαλίστηκε από τον ήρωα Περσέα, ο οποίος στη συνέχεια χρησιμοποίησε το κεφάλι της, το οποίο διατήρησε την ικανότητά του να μετατρέπει τους θεατές σε πέτρα, ως όπλο, μέχρι που το έδωσε στη θεά Αθηνά για να το τοποθετήσει στην ασπίδα της. σύμφωνα με μια άλλη μαρτυρία- ο Περσέας το έθαψε στην αγορά του Άργους. Ο Λαβύρινθος στην αρχαία Ελλάδα ήταν ένα περίτεχνο, συγκεχυμένο οικοδόμημα που σχεδίασε και κατασκεύασε ο θρυλικός τεχνίτης Δαίδαλος για τον βασιλιά Μίνωα της Κρήτης στην Κνωσό. Η λειτουργία του ήταν να συγκρατεί τον Μινώταυρο. ο Μινώταυρος είναι ένα μυθικό πλάσμα που απεικονίζεται στους κλασικούς χρόνους με κεφάλι ταύρου και σώμα ανθρώπου. Ο Μινώταυρος σκοτώθηκε τελικά από τον Αθηναίο ήρωα Θησέα.

Dracma was the currency used in Greece during several periods in its history. The tetradrachm was an Ancient Greek silver coin equivalent to fourdrachmae in Athens it replaced the earlier “heraldic” type of didrachms and it was in wide circulation from ca. 510 to ca. 38 BC. This coin belongs to the so-called “new style Athenian coins” minted between 166 and 64 B.C. and is considered one of the most popular ancient Greek coins which illustrate the portrait of Goddess Athena on the one side and the wisdom owl on the other. Athena is an ancient Greek goddess associated with wisdom, handicraft, and warfare. Athena was regarded as the patron and protectress of various cities across Greece, particularly the city of Athens, from which she most likely received her name. She’s usually shown in art wearing a helmet and holding a spear. Her major symbols include owls, olive trees, and snakes. Her temples were located atop the fortified Acropolis in the central part of the city. The Parthenon on the Athenian Acropolis is dedicated to her, along with numerous other temples and monuments. Her main festival in Athens was the Panathenaia, which was celebrated in midsummer and was the most important festival on the Athenian calendar. In the classical Olympian pantheon, Athena was regarded as the favorite daughter of Zeus. The owl traditionally accompanies Athena. Because of such association, the owl has been used as a symbol of knowledge and wisdom. The Phaistos Disc is a disk of fired clay from the Minoan palace of Phaistos on the island of Crete. Now, the island of Crete is part of modern Greece. The disc was discovered in 1908 by the Italian archaeologist Luigi Pernier in the Minoan palace-site of Phaistos. While it is not clear that it is a script, most attempted decipherments assume that it is; most additionally assume a syllabary, others an alphabet or logography or a calendar, making it one of the most famous mysteries of archaeology. The disk is about 15 cm in diameter and covered on both sides with a spiral of stamped symbols. The disc features 241 tokens, comprising 45 distinct signs, which were apparently made by pressing hieroglyphic “seals” into a disc of soft clay, in a clockwise sequence spiraling toward the center of the disk. This unique object is now on display at the archaeological museum of Heraklion.

Lions have been widely used in art to provide a sense of majesty and awe. Lions were bold creatures and many ancient cities would have an abundance of lion sculptures to show strength. There are lions at the entrances of cities and sacred sites from Mesopotamian cultures; notable examples include the Lion Gate of ancient Mycenae in Greece that has two lionesses flanking a column that represents a deity. This Ancient Greek coin illustrate Medusa on the one side and the Knossos labyrinth on the other. Medusa, in Greek mythology, the most famous of the monster figures known as Gorgons, generally described as a winged female with living venomous snakes in place of hair; unlike the Gorgons, she was sometimes represented as very beautiful. According to Hesiod and Aeschylus, she lived and died on an island named Sarpedon, somewhere near Cisthene. Medusa was beheaded by the hero Perseus, who thereafter used her head, which retained its ability to turn onlookers to stone, as a weapon until he gave it to the goddess Athena to place on her shield. according to another account; Perseus buried it in the marketplace of Argos. The Labyrinth in ancient Greek was an elaborate, confusing structure designed and built by the legendary artificer Daedalus for King Minos of Crete at Knossos. Its function was to hold the Minotaur. the Minotaur is a mythical creature portrayed in Classical times with the head of a bull and the body of a man. Το σχέδιο του Μαιάνδρου είναι ένα διακοσμητικό περίγραμμα κατασκευασμένο από μια συνεχή γραμμή, διαμορφωμένο σε ένα επαναλαμβανόμενο μοτίβο. Το συναντάμε επίσης με την ονομασία “ελληνικό κλειδί”. Από τη μία πλευρά, το όνομα μαίανδρος θυμίζει τη στροφή του ποταμού Μαιάνδρου στη Μικρά Ασία, και από την άλλη, όπως τόνισε ο Karl Kerenyi, «ο μαίανδρος είναι η μορφή ενός λαβύρινθου σε γραμμική μορφή». Λόγω της έλλειψης αρχής και τέλους, γίνεται το σύμβολο της μακράς ζωής και της αιωνιότητας. Ένα από τα αρχαιότερα μοτίβα που έχει διακοσμήσει πολλούς ναούς και αγάλματα.
