Meandros design is a decorative border constructed from a continuous line, shaped into a repeated motif. Such a design is also called the Greek fret or Greek key design, although these are modern designations. One the one hand, the name “meander” recalls the twisting and turning path of the Meander River in Asia Minor, and on the other hand, as Karl Kerenyi pointed out, “the meander is the figure of a labyrinth in linear form” the meaning is that these is no beginning and to end in some cases so it become the symbol of long life and eternity. One of the most ancient patterns which has decorated many temples and statues.

Minoan Phaistos Disk Earrings – Sterling Silver and Gold Plated
This beautiful pair of earrings representing the disc of Phaistos. The Phaistos Disc is a disk of fired clay from the Minoan palace of Phaistos on the island of Crete. Now, the island of Crete is part of modern Greece. The disc was discovered in 1908 by the Italian archaeologist Luigi Pernier in the Minoan palace-site of Phaistos. While it is not clear that it is a script, most attempted decipherments assume that it is; most additionally assume a syllabary, others an alphabet or logography or a calendar, making it one of the most famous mysteries of archaeology. The disk is about 15 cm in diameter and covered on both sides with a spiral of stamped symbols. The disc features 241 tokens, comprising 45 distinct signs, which were apparently made by pressing hieroglyphic “seals” into a disc of soft clay, in a clockwise sequence spiraling toward the center of the disk. This unique object is now on display at the archaeological museum of Heraklion.

Το στεφάνι ελιάς ήταν το έπαθλο του νικητή στους αρχαίους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες. Σύμφωνα με τον Παυσανία, εισήχθη από τον Ηρακλή ως έπαθλο για τον νικητή των αγώνων, για να τιμήσει τον πατέρα του Δία. Στους αρχαίους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες δεν υπήρχαν χρυσά, αργυρά ή χάλκινα μετάλλια. Υπήρχε μόνο ένας νικητής ανά εκδήλωση, ο οποίος στέφονταν με ένα στεφάνι ελιάς.

Ο Δίσκος της Φαιστού είναι ένας δίσκος από πηλό από το μινωικό παλάτι της Φαιστού στο νησί της Κρήτης. Τώρα, το νησί της Κρήτης είναι μέρος της σύγχρονης Ελλάδας. Ο δίσκος ανακαλύφθηκε το 1908 από τον Ιταλό αρχαιολόγο Luigi Pernier στο μινωικό παλάτι της Φαιστού. Ακόμα και στις μέρες μας η αποκρυπτογράφηση του δεν είναι ξεκάθαρη, καθιστώντας το ένα από τα πιο διάσημα μυστήρια της αρχαιολογίας. Αυτό το μοναδικό αντικείμενο εκτίθεται τώρα στο αρχαιολογικό μουσείο Ηρακλείου.

Η Αθηνά σχετίζεται με τη σοφία, τη χειροτεχνία και τον πόλεμο. Η Αθηνά θεωρούνταν προστάτιδα διαφόρων πόλεων σε όλη την Ελλάδα, αλλά ιδιαίτερα της Αθήνας, η οποία πήρε το όνομά της από εκείνη. Συνήθως εμφανίζεται στην τέχνη φορώντας κράνος και κρατώντας ένα δόρυ. Τα κύρια σύμβολά της περιλαμβάνουν κουκουβάγιες, ελιές και φίδια. Οι ναοί της βρίσκονταν στην οχυρωμένη Ακρόπολη στο κεντρικό τμήμα της πόλης. Ο Παρθενώνας στην Ακρόπολη της Αθήνας είναι αφιερωμένος σε αυτήν, μαζί με πολλούς άλλους ναούς και μνημεία. Το κύριο πανηγύρι της στην Αθήνα ήταν τα Παναθήναια, τα οποία γιορτάζονταν το καλοκαίρι και ήταν το σημαντικότερο πανηγύρι του αθηναϊκού ημερολογίου. Στο κλασικό Ολύμπιο πάνθεον, η Αθηνά θεωρούνταν η αγαπημένη κόρη του Δία.

Αυτό το όμορφο ζευγάρι σκουλαρίκια που αναπαριστούν το δίσκο της Φαιστού. Ο δίσκος της Φαιστού είναι ένας δίσκος από ψημένο πηλό από το μινωικό ανάκτορο της Φαιστού στο νησί της Κρήτης. Τα κοσμήματα Doublet είναι ένα πολύ ιδιαίτερο κόσμημα λόγω του τρόπου σύνθεσής του. Με αυτη την τεχνική υπάρχει η ενοποίηση δύο πολύτιμων λίθων, (χαλαζίας και μια άλλη μη διαφανή πέτρα) δημιουργώντας μοναδικά χρώματα και λάμψη.

Αυτό το Αρχαίο Ελληνικό νόμισμα αντιπροσωπεύει τον Μέγα Αλέξανδρο από τη μία πλευρά και τον Λυσίμαχο από την άλλη. Ο Μέγας Αλέξανδρος ο Βασιλιάς της Μακεδονίας θεωρείται μία από τις σημαντικότερες μορφές της παγκόσμιας ιστορίας. Ο Λυσίμαχος ήταν Μακεδόνας αξιωματικός και διάδοχος του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου, ο οποίος έγινε βασιλέας το 306 π.Χ., κυβερνώντας τη Θράκη, τη Μικρά Ασία και τη Μακεδονία.

Η χρήση των ακροκεράμων μετά την αρχαϊκή εποχή, επανέρχεται με το κίνημα του Νεοκλασικισμού στην Ευρώπη τον 19ο αιώνα. Το κίνημα μεταφυτεύεται στην Ελλάδα από τους Βαβαρούς και το ακροκέραμο γίνεται το σήμα κατατεθέν της ελληνικής νεοκλασικής αρχιτεκτονικής.
